How to play

  1. Choose a safe corner or wide-service spot and mark a finishing zone near goal.
  2. Players work in pairs: one serves, one attacks the ball.
  3. A clean service into the zone plus a legal finish earns 1 point.
  4. After each attempt, partners swap roles or rotate with the next pair.
  5. Ground passes, chipped crosses, or rolled services all count if the group agrees before play.
  6. Play 5 attempts per pair, then compare totals.

What counts?

A result counts when it matches the main rule: Corner Service + Finish: pairs rotate service and finish. Clean service plus finish = 1 point. Five attempts per pair. Use this scoring agreement for close calls: finished service = 1 point. Do not count attempts that break the setup, happen outside the agreed space, or depend on a call the group cannot agree on.

How to win

Quick mode: finished service = 1 point. Timed mode: play a 15-30 min round and count the score when time expires. Group mode: two pairs combine their totals across one round.

Move the service spot closer and allow a settling touch before the finish.

Make it harder

Require the finish to be first-time or make each pair clear three called zones.

Game mode setup

Use this as the main activity from Soccer Board. Play for points, bragging rights, or simple rotation first. STUD mode is optional and the activity works without it.

Why it works

Corner service turns a familiar match moment into a quick partner challenge with built-in rotation.

Safety / fair play

Use a safe space, avoid hard contact or unsafe surfaces, adjust for age and skill, and agree on close calls before the round starts.
