A team can steal only if it names the decade-specific clue that gave away the answer.

A wrong buzz locks that team out of the next clue.

The fifth correct answer is worth double.

A team can earn a bonus point by naming the context too.

Closest team gets 2 points; any team within the agreed range gets 1 point.
Add one twist to normal play for challenge points, bonus points, or bragging rights. STUD mode stays optional and only belongs after the group agrees.

Answer every question in a round correctly to earn 2 challenge points.
Any player or team that gets every question correct in a full trivia round earns 2 challenge points. If more than one team is perfect, each perfect team earns the challenge points.
Challenge Twist 2 Speed + Buzzer Quick idea Works with normal play
Buzz early and answer wrong to add 1 penalty point against your team.
In a buzzer or table-tap round, any early buzz with a wrong answer adds 1 penalty point against that player or team. A correct buzz on the next question erases 1 penalty point against them.

Steal a missed answer to earn 1 challenge point.
When the active player or team misses, the first opposing team to write or call the correct answer within the agreed steal window earns 1 challenge point.

Call a high-confidence answer and miss it to add 1 penalty point against your team.
Before answering, a team may call high confidence. A correct high-confidence answer earns 1 challenge point. A wrong high-confidence answer adds 1 penalty point against that team.

Solve a picture clue before the final reveal to earn 1 challenge point.
In a picture or visual reveal round, a player or team that answers correctly before the final reveal earns 1 challenge point. A wrong early answer adds 1 penalty point against them.

Lock the final answer first and get it right to earn 2 challenge points.
On the final question, the first player or team to lock a written answer earns 2 challenge points if correct. If the locked answer is wrong, add 1 penalty point against them.

Answer three straight correctly to erase 1 penalty point against you or earn 1 challenge point.
Any player or team that answers three consecutive questions correctly may erase 1 penalty point against them. If they have no penalty points against them, they earn 1 challenge point instead.

Win every question in a theme category to earn 2 challenge points.
Before a theme category begins, declare it eligible. A player or team that gets every question in that category correct earns 2 challenge points.

Start a round in last and win that round to earn 1 comeback challenge point.
At the start of any round, the last-place player or team may call a save. If they win that round outright, they earn 1 challenge point. If they finish last again, add 1 penalty point against them.

Submit a fair question that the host misses to earn 1 challenge point.
Each team may submit one fair question to the host. If the host misses and the answer is verified, that team earns 1 challenge point. If the question is unclear or wrong, add 1 penalty point against that team.

Choose a category and answer most of that category correctly to earn 1 challenge point.
Challenge points count for you. Penalty points count against you. Use the final challenge score only in the way your group agreed before play.
Challenge Twist 12 General Trivia Quick idea Works with normal play
Give the closest tiebreak answer under pressure to earn 1 challenge point.
During any tiebreak or closest-answer question, the closest team earns 1 challenge point. A team that writes an obviously impossible answer adds 1 penalty point against itself.
Challenge Twist 13 General Trivia Quick idea Works with normal play
Resolve a challenged trivia answer cleanly to earn 1 challenge point for the host.
If a team challenges an answer, the host earns 1 challenge point by resolving it with a prepared source or clear ruling in under one minute. If the question has to be thrown out because it was unclear, add 1 penalty point against the host.
Challenge Twist 14 Speed + Buzzer Quick idea Works with normal play
Steal a missed answer and explain why it is right to earn 1 challenge point.
When another team misses a question, a player may answer and give one sentence explaining the clue. If both the answer and explanation are accepted, they earn 1 challenge point. A wild steal that is clearly off-topic adds 1 penalty point against that player.
