A player earns 1 challenge point when a controlled net shot or drop lands legally in the front court and wins the rally without a hard smash. A called soft shot into the net adds 1 penalty point against that player.
Follow a deep clear with a soft drop winner or forced error to earn 1 challenge point.
A player earns 1 challenge point when a deep clear pushes the opponent back and the next soft drop wins the rally or forces an unplayable lift. A drop into the net adds 1 penalty point against the player who called the switch.
