How to play

  1. Set 3 to 5 empty cups on a table or safe flat surface.
  2. Hold or prop one clipboard as the bank surface.
  3. Players take 8 attempts from the same line using a ping-pong ball or soft paper ball.
  4. The ball must touch the clipboard before landing in a cup.
  5. A made toss scores 1 point.
  6. A called corner cup scores 2 points if it lands clean.

What counts?

A result counts when it matches the main rule: Clipboard Bank Toss: bank a soft ball off a clipboard into cup targets. Eight attempts, made cup = 1, called corner = 2. Use this scoring agreement for close calls: most points after 8 attempts wins. Do not count attempts that break the setup, happen outside the agreed space, or depend on a call the group cannot agree on.

How to win

Quick mode: most points after 8 attempts wins. Timed mode: play a 10-20 min round and count the score when time expires. Group mode: partners alternate shots and combine points.

Variations

Make it easier

Move the cups closer or let the clipboard angle stay fixed for every player.

Make it harder

Require players to call the cup before every attempt.

Game mode setup

Use this as the main activity from Desk Break Board. Play for points, bragging rights, or simple rotation first. STUD mode is optional and the activity works without it.

Why it works

The clipboard bank gives the group a clear trick-shot moment while keeping the game contained to one table.

Safety / fair play

Use a safe space, avoid hard contact or unsafe surfaces, adjust for age and skill, and agree on close calls before the round starts.
