How to play

  1. Use soft whiteboard erasers, felt pucks, or folded cloths on a smooth table or open smooth floor.
  2. Create 3 target zones with painter tape and keep the lane clear of laptops, glass, screens, and people.
  3. Players slide, not throw, one eraser per turn from the same marked line.
  4. After every player slides 3 erasers, score the pieces that stop fully inside a zone.
  5. Outer zone scores 1 point, middle zone scores 2 points, and center zone scores 3 points.
  6. Play 3 rounds and use closest-to-center as the tiebreaker.

What counts?

A result counts when it matches the main rule: Whiteboard Eraser Curl: slide soft erasers toward tape zones. Outer = 1, middle = 2, center = 3. Highest 3-round total wins. Use this scoring agreement for close calls: highest total after 3 rounds wins. Do not count attempts that break the setup, happen outside the agreed space, or depend on a call the group cannot agree on.

How to win

Quick mode: highest total after 3 rounds wins. Timed mode: play a 10-20 min round and count the score when time expires. Group mode: teammates alternate slides and combine all legal zone points.

Variations

Make it easier

Use larger target zones or let the nearest edge touching a zone count.

Make it harder

Require players to call the target zone before sliding.

Game mode setup

Use this as the main activity from Desk Break Board. Play for points, bragging rights, or simple rotation first. STUD mode is optional and the activity works without it.

Why it works

It turns a quiet office surface into a visible accuracy game while keeping the action low-speed and contained.

Safety / fair play

Use a safe space, avoid hard contact or unsafe surfaces, adjust for age and skill, and agree on close calls before the round starts.
