Called Stride Finish
This activity is for points or bragging rights only. STUD mode is not recommended for this format.
How to play
- Choose a safe track lane, park loop, or wide path with a clear finish mark and no traffic crossings.
- Agree on a social pace for the loop and a controlled stride count for the final section.
- Players complete the loop together or in small waves at the agreed effort.
- At the stride marker, each player finishes with the called number of smooth strides.
- No all-out sprinting, crowding, blocked vision, or cutting across another runner's lane.
- Closest legal finish to the mark after the called stride count wins the round.
What counts?
A result counts when it matches the main rule: Called Stride Finish: safe loop, called final stride count, closest legal finish wins. Keep it controlled. Use this scoring agreement for close calls: nearest legal finish to the mark wins. Do not count attempts that break the setup, happen outside the agreed space, or depend on a call the group cannot agree on.
How to win
Quick mode: nearest legal finish to the mark wins. Timed mode: play a 15-40 min round and count the score when time expires. Group mode: pair runners and add both finish distances together.
