How to play Karaoke Scorecard

Step 1

A willing performer sings the agreed equal-length cut while everyone else listens.

Step 2

Each nonperformer privately submits one overall score from 1 to 10; performers do not score themselves.

Step 3

Record the average to one decimal place without inviting public comments, then rotate performers.

Step 4

If finalists are used, they choose from a preapproved swap list and receive equal final cuts.

Scoring

How the result works

Average the private 1-10 scores from nonperformers to one decimal place.

Example: Four nonperformers privately submit 7, 8, 8, and 9, giving the singer an 8.0 average.

Host tip

Keep it clean

Turning scores into public critiques. Collect one private overall number and keep participation voluntary.

Safety: Keep volume comfortable, respect venue limits, and never pressure someone to perform or explain a pass.
