Your information on Studboards
Some tools keep your work in your browser. Browsing, AI requests and external services involve other data flows. Here is the difference.

Browsing and hosting
You can browse Studboards without creating an account. The hosting provider receives ordinary web-request information, which can include your IP address, requested pages, browser or device information, referrer and request time, to deliver and protect the website.
- The live site also loads a GoDaddy traffic-measurement script. Hosting measurement is separate from information that a feature keeps in your browser.
- Browser caching, local storage and session storage support features and page delivery. Clearing browser data can remove saved work and preferences.
- The site uses hosting, AI and external service providers as described below; information sent to them is subject to their applicable practices.
Site usage measurements
Some features send usage events to Studboards, such as a page or activity being opened, a search or tool being used, or a share action. These events can include page and referrer paths, screen-size category, activity identifiers, selected filters and other feature-specific details. They help assess use and diagnose problems.
- The site's event sender filters sensitive field names and does not intentionally include private collection contents or wallet secrets. Avoid typing sensitive details into public searches or prompts.
- The first-party event sender respects a browser's Do Not Track setting. This does not promise that every third-party service uses the same setting.
- First-party event files have a 30-day cleanup rule. Hosting logs and other providers have separate retention practices.
AI-assisted Find requests
When an AI-assisted Find request is used, your message, recent conversation, current page title and path, and relevant activity information are sent through the Studboards server to OpenAI to generate a response. Local matching may also be used; do not assume a submitted prompt stays on your device.
- The service uses an IP-derived identifier and request counts for abuse prevention and rate limits. An identifier is also sent to the AI provider for safety purposes.
- The AI request asks that the response not be stored for later retrieval. That setting is not a promise of zero provider retention; provider security and abuse-prevention rules can still apply.
- Do not submit passwords, private keys, seed phrases, identifying medical information or other sensitive information. AI responses can be inaccurate.
- Prompts you copy into another AI service are handled by that service under its own terms.
STUD=1 collections and sharing
STUD=1 saves collections in this browser without an account, server copy or cloud sync. Items, notes, progress and the optional self-reported $STUD amount are kept locally until you move them using a share or export feature. Clearing browser data can remove them.
- Personal item details and your optional $STUD amount are included in readable sharing by default. Use Exclude item details and Exclude my $STUD amount when you want to leave them out.
- PDF and copy tools use the choices shown in their export controls. Always inspect the preview or finished file before sending it.
- Editable backups contain the full collection data, including personal details and stored source information. A share exclusion does not remove those fields from an editable backup.
- Treat imported files as untrusted. Keep backups in a safe place. Once you send a file, its recipient can keep or forward it.
Cards, downloads and device tools
The card creator handles message edits and image export in your browser. Ordinary card drafts are held for the current tab session. Exporting saves a file or hands it to the share destination you choose. Collection-based documents can include details from your local STUD=1 collections.
- An image, PDF, clipboard copy or editable backup can reveal whatever personal content you include. Review it before sharing.
- Native sharing, clipboard access and downloads are handled by your browser or device. The destination's privacy practices apply after you send a file.
External services and public information
Links can take you to sources, social platforms, wallets and trading services. Token features can request public market or blockchain information from external providers. Those providers receive the network-request information needed to answer, and any additional information you choose to give them.
- Public blockchain transactions and wallet addresses can be visible to others and are generally not erasable by Studboards.
- Contact through the official social profile is handled by that platform. Do not post sensitive information publicly or send wallet secrets.
- Studboards does not control third-party sites or copies of files you have shared.
Storage, retention and your choices
Local data remains until you remove it, the browser clears it, or the device or software loses it. Site usage events have the cleanup rule described above. Other operational records, including abuse-prevention records, do not currently have one site-wide automatic deletion period; provider retention rules also differ.
- Use the feature's removal controls or your browser's site-data settings to remove local data. Deleting local data does not recall files you already exported or sent.
- For information held by the site operator, use the Contact page to request access, correction or deletion. Applicable rights and exceptions depend on your location and the information involved.
- Do not send sensitive evidence in an initial public message. Describe the request generally and ask how to continue privately.
- No storage or transmission method can promise absolute security.
Children and policy changes
Activity ideas can be used by families under appropriate adult supervision. Children should not submit personal information through site prompts or contact channels. A parent or guardian who believes a child has supplied personal information should contact the operator to request review and removal where possible.
