Open your wallet app and look for a Buy or Add funds button. 1) Tap it and choose SOL, not STUD. 2) Pick the smallest amount it allows — you only need a little for network fees. 3) Pay with a card or Apple Pay if offered. 4) The SOL shows up in your balance within minutes. If your wallet app does not offer buying, use path two below.
1) Open an account with a well-known exchange like Coinbase or Kraken and buy a small amount of SOL; the exchange may verify your identity first. 2) In your wallet app, tap Receive and copy your wallet address — it is safe to share. 3) On the exchange, choose Withdraw or Send, paste the address, and pick the Solana network. 4) Check the address and network once more, then confirm. The SOL usually arrives within minutes.
Whichever path you use, a small amount of SOL is enough because Solana network fees are tiny. Make sure everything says Solana before you confirm; if you see a different network name, stop. And if any of this feels confusing, stop and ask the friend who sent you here before you tap confirm.
