Finish the thing someone could use
The draft on your computer may contain something that could help, teach or delight someone. Give it the work needed to become shareable. Resolve the important gaps, check it carefully and choose a finish. Let another person finally encounter the value you have been working to create.
You have spent time building something, but it remains just out of reach of the people it could serve. There is always one more revision to imagine or another feature to add. Bring your attention back to the basic promise. What should someone be able to understand, use or enjoy when they receive this work? Define the finish around that experience.
Separate what is necessary from what can wait. An instruction sheet needs accurate steps and readable wording. A community resource needs working links and a clear explanation. A piece of music needs the arrangement you intend to perform. Make a short list of the real gaps. Completing those tasks gives you a path toward sharing, instead of a moving horizon of possible improvements.
Have someone appropriate try the work before you call it ready. Watch where they get confused. Ask what is missing. Correct the issues that interfere with the purpose, including factual or safety problems where they apply. Finishing with care includes this examination. You are preparing something for another person's attention, and that person deserves a version that fulfills its essential promise.
Then choose the moment to let it leave your private workspace. Send the guide, present the work or share the completed project with its intended audience. Feedback may reveal the next improvement, but now it will come from an actual encounter. You have given the work a life beyond your own plans for it. Finish this version well enough to serve its purpose, and let someone receive what you made.
Fulfill the promise. Finish with care. Let someone use it.
