Teach someone what you have learned
Something you understand could help another person move forward. Show them how it works. Explain the part that once confused you. Let them try while you are there to help. Your knowledge can become someone else's new ability, and that is a powerful reason to share it well.
Think of something you can do now that once seemed confusing. You learned the sequence, recognized the mistake or finally understood the explanation. That knowledge can travel further than your own use of it. Someone else may be standing at the same uncertain beginning. You could help them find a way through.
Start with what they actually want to learn. Show one manageable part and explain why it works. If you are teaching a familiar recipe, describe the sign you look for instead of only naming a cooking time. If you are explaining a tool, make the hidden assumption visible. The detail you take for granted may be exactly what the learner needs.
Then give them room to try. Stay available without taking over at the first hesitation. Ask what they noticed. Let a question reveal where your explanation needs to improve. Teaching is an act of attention: you are trying to help this person understand, not simply demonstrate how much you know.
Be honest about your own limits and the level of instruction the task requires. Share what you can responsibly explain, and point toward qualified help where appropriate. Patience and accuracy make the gift more useful.
There is real satisfaction in watching someone do something they could not do before. You helped create an ability they can take into their own life. Let that possibility energize your generosity. Open up what you have learned. Make the explanation clear. Give another person the chance to experience understanding for themselves.
Let what you learned help someone else begin.
