3,5-T2 is a thyroid-related compound discussed for cutting and fat loss, often with the hope of fewer drawbacks than T3. Reports include apparent benefit, no extra fat loss and lethargy. The claim that it leaves thyroid function untouched is disputed; supplement branding does not establish safety.

What 3,5-T2 means

  • A specific thyroid-hormone relative. 3,5-Diiodo-L-thyronine is also called 3,5-diiodothyronine or 3,5-T2. The numbers identify iodine positions: 3,3′-T2 is a different isomer, not another spelling. “T2” without those numbers can leave the actual ingredient unclear. Official context Community · AnabolicMinds
  • The proposed mechanism concerns cellular energy use. Research describes 3,5-T2 as a thyroid-hormone metabolite with effects on mitochondria, the parts of cells that process fuel. Much of that work uses animals or isolated cells; a mechanism does not establish useful human fat loss. Animal context
  • The appeal is fat loss with fewer thyroid effects. People compare it with T3 while asking about muscle retention and suppression of their own thyroid output. Those are questions and proposed advantages, not established properties of a safer fat burner. Community · AnabolicMinds

What people report

  • Some favorable cutting accounts lack specifics. john.patterson described good results with a liquid T2 product during a cut, without a measured change or confirmed isomer. That supports a favorable experience with the product, not a quantified benefit from isolated 3,5-T2. Community · AnabolicMinds
  • No added fat loss. paul56778 reported no extra fat loss after two attempts amid other fat burners and GW501516 co-use. Community · AnabolicMinds
  • Lethargy can replace the hoped-for lift. Rosie Chee described feeling lethargic and making worse progress on several products containing 3,5-T2. Her preference for Alpha-T2 did not prove which ingredient explained the difference. Community · AnabolicMinds

T2, T3, T4 and product blends

  • Related hormones are not interchangeable products. T3 means triiodothyronine, supplied as liothyronine; T4 means thyroxine, supplied as levothyroxine. Desiccated thyroid is a mixed thyroid extract. Their replacement and cutting discussions cannot supply missing 3,5-T2 results, dose equivalents or timing. Official context
  • Alpha-T2 is not a synonym for 3,5-T2. The 2010 product debate describes Alpha-T2 using 3,3′-T2 alongside methyl-synephrine and rauwolscine. A successful blend report cannot settle whether 3,5-T2 works, or whether either isomer avoids suppression. Community · AnabolicMinds

Doses people discuss

These are attributed reports, not instructions. mcg means micrograms; 1,000 mcg equals 1 mg. Amount per capsule and total per day are different quantities.

  • 200 mcg/day in one oral-pill account. CatSnake reported 100 mcg twice daily while already hypothyroid. A proposed increase was not a completed result. This is one account, not a community standard. Community · AnabolicMinds
  • 600 mcg/day in a capsule nonresponse report. paul56778 specified six capsules totaling 600 mcg/day; this establishes neither authenticity nor an effective amount. Community · AnabolicMinds
  • Liquid milliliters cannot fill a microgram gap. Quads_of_Stee reported 1.25 mL twice daily, but the page supplies neither concentration nor a confirmed isomer. No mass dose can be calculated from it. Community · AnabolicMinds

Half-life

  • No supported human half-life number in these discussions. An older copied post says T2 is active for about one hour. It provides no clearance measurement and does not establish an elimination half-life. T3 or T4 timing cannot substitute for the missing 3,5-T2 value. Community · Bodybuilding.nl

When people notice a change

  • Same-day impressions come from mixed products. plifter42 described slightly greater alertness after two PX Black capsules that day, totaling a reported 600 mcg T2, without feeling strongly stimulated. This does not establish when isolated 3,5-T2 starts working. Community · AnabolicMinds

How long the feeling lasts

  • No dependable useful-effect window. The one-hour activity claim is repeated theory, not a measured period of improved energy or fat loss. Continued weight loss after stopping, discussed below, cannot measure how long T2 acts. Community · Bodybuilding.nl Community · AnabolicMinds
  • Hours of symptoms are a different endpoint. solidsnake reported forceful, fast heartbeat around 30 minutes after one DNpx capsule, followed by shakes lasting hours. The multi-ingredient account cannot identify T2 as the cause or measure its bodily half-life. Community · AnabolicMinds

Courses and stopping

  • Three months completed in one report. In post 11, paul56778 described stopping after a three-month course at a reported 400 mcg, continued weight loss and subjectively no suppression. Frequency, exact product/isomer and the post-stop observation interval were unstated; no thyroid labs confirmed the safety impression. This neither establishes a safe cycle nor attributes subsequent weight loss to T2. Community · AnabolicMinds
  • Six weeks appears as an intention. A reply quotes justhere4comm planning six weeks after an encouraging first dose. That is not a completed six-week log or evidence of a safe course. Community · AnabolicMinds
  • Tapering is a reported belief, not demonstrated protection. The liquid-product user described staged amounts over weeks and tapering because of thyroid concerns. The report does not establish the full course length, a recovery interval or that tapering prevented harm. Community · AnabolicMinds

What deserves caution

  • “Non-suppressive” is disputed. Company representatives and users argue about thyroid suppression, meaning reduced output from the thyroid system. Confident claims on either side are not human safety measurements; a supplement label cannot settle the argument. Community · AnabolicMinds
  • Animal findings challenge blanket safety claims. A 2018 research review describes thyroid-system suppression and cardiac concerns in some rodent experiments, while other experiments found fewer such effects. Differences in species and exposure matter. This supports concern, not a human risk percentage or a safe threshold. Animal context
  • A blood-test story is not a diagnosis. ironjunkie91 reported slightly higher TSH, the signal that asks the thyroid to produce hormone, and no noticeable benefit. Existing hypothyroidism, testosterone use and absent numerical lab results prevent interpreting this as proof of T2-induced suppression. Community · AnabolicMinds
  • Sweating and feeling hot are not proof of fat loss. Quads_of_Stee reported warmth, easier sweating and night sweats alongside perceived body-composition benefit. Those sensations neither isolate the active ingredient nor establish cardiovascular safety. Community · AnabolicMinds
  • A stack cannot establish muscle protection. The forum question about adding an anabolic drug reflects concern about muscle loss. It does not demonstrate that co-use prevents thyroid or cardiac problems. Community · AnabolicMinds

The small human study behind the claims

  • Two volunteers are too few to establish safety. Antonelli and colleagues’ 2011 abstract describes two people with normal thyroid function. It reports increased resting metabolic rate and about 4% lower body weight after a further three weeks at 300 mcg/day, with unchanged reported thyroid markers and no observed cardiac adverse effects. Body weight is not the same as measured body fat; this small study cannot establish a general safe dose. Official context

From community experience

  • One author, several observations. paul56778’s nonresponse and completed-course reports are one person’s history, not independent corroboration; the connection between the reported amounts is unclear. Community · AnabolicMinds Community · AnabolicMinds
  • Initial enthusiasm can change. justhere4comm later described an unsatisfying bottle and blamed the amount. It cannot confidently be matched to the earlier plan; the explanation remains opinion. Community · AnabolicMinds Community · AnabolicMinds
  • A hoped-for T3 alternative may feel like nothing. ironjunkie91’s later account described no added mood, energy, warmth or expected weight-loss benefit and uncertainty about product quality. Existing thyroid disease makes that experience different from a healthy person’s cutting experiment. Community · AnabolicMinds
