Run the round

How to play Powerplay Gap Push

Step 1

The batter calls left or right gate before the feeder delivers from the protected offset spot; an unsafe or unplayable feed is a no-count replay.

Step 2

Use a controlled ground stroke; the ball crossing the called gate before another boundary scores 1, and every other playable result scores 0.

Step 3

The host calls dead, fielders retrieve from their fixed spots, and roles rotate after six valid feeds.

Scoring

How the result works

A controlled ground ball through the called gate scores 1; every other playable result scores 0.

Example: The batter calls left or right gate before the feeder delivers from the protected offset spot; an unsafe or unplayable feed is a no-count replay.

Host tip

Keep it clean

Changing the feed, start line, or powerplay target between players. Keep the setup equal.

Safety: For unfamiliar adults use one suitable bat and a soft practice ball unless a proper hard-ball facility, protective equipment, and supervision are present. Mark swing, feed, fielding, waiting, and retrieval zones; stop for a person, loose ball, damaged gear, weather, or an unsafe feed.
