A direct airborne hit to the posted below-shoulder/above-ankle body zone sends the target to queue. A controlled in-bounds catch takes precedence over simultaneous hand or arm contact, keeps the catcher active, and sends the thrower out; head/neck contact is dead/no out.

How to play Doctor Dodgeball
For a rescue, the host calls freeze, collects every ball to the back lines, and allows a living Doctor to spend one token and lightly tag the first queued teammate at the rescue gate; max one rescue per lull and two per round.
The host releases the rescued player behind the back line and resumes on GO; an out Doctor ends that team's rescues and cannot be revived.

Run it cleanly
How the result works
No rescue points; track active players and the two Doctor tokens.
Example: A direct airborne hit to the posted below-shoulder/above-ankle body zone sends the target to queue. A controlled in-bounds catch takes precedence over simultaneous hand or arm contact, keeps the catcher active, and sends the thrower out; head/neck contact is dead/no out.
Keep it clean
Continuing to throw while the host resolves a catch or rescue. Stop and reset first.
Safety: Use one or more matched soft foam balls on a flat clear court, marked bounds and queues, and one host with STOP authority. No head/neck, hard close-range, or blind throws; pause for retrieval or trip hazards; remove a participant for suspected concussion and do not allow same-day return.
