How to play Serve Location Bingo

Step 1

Call one unmarked cell, then begin with the ball resting freely on the stationary open palm of the stationary free hand, above the playing surface and behind the end line.

Step 2

Project the ball near vertically without spin so it rises at least 16 cm; keep it unobstructed, move the free arm away, and strike it while descending so it bounces first on the server's court and then on the receiver's court.

Step 3

Mark the called cell only when the singles serve is legal and lands in that receiver-side zone. A let is replayed. Rotate as singles servers and judges for all 3-4-player play; do not apply doubles half-court service.

Step 4

When anyone completes a line, finish the current equal-turn round before deciding the result.

Get it ready

Give each player a 3x3 off-table scorecard mapping left, middle, and right to short, mid, and deep on the receiver's court. Place no card, tape, or target on the playing surface. Post twelve attempts, the legal singles-service checklist, equal-turn finishing-round rule, and one shared tie-break cell.

Win condition

How it ends

After the equal-turn finishing round, one line completer wins. If two or more complete a line, most marked cells wins. If still tied, all tied players serve the same posted tie-break cell on equal turns; one succeeds only when every other tied player misses in that same round. Repeat equal-turn tie rounds as needed. If nobody completes a line after twelve attempts, most marked cells uses the same tie procedure.

How the result works

A legal called-zone singles serve marks that cell once; a fault or wrong-zone serve does not mark a cell, and a let is replayed without consuming the attempt.

Keep it clean

Run singles serve reps even when 3-4 adults rotate; doubles serving would restrict service to right half-courts and contradict the full 3x3 receiver grid.

Called Corner: the shared tie-break cell must be one of the four corners and applies equally to every tied participant.
