How to play Commercial Break Challenge

Step 1

At the next eligible commercial break, before the first eligible item is clear, the host names two to four mutually exclusive categories and each active player says one call or says skip; a newcomer may join only before that break's call window, with no backfill.

Step 2

The first clearly shown eligible item settles the break: each exact matching call scores 1 point aloud; misses, skips, and late calls score 0.

Step 3

Stop immediately when live action returns. If no eligible item was settled, void the break for everyone. If the announced finish time has not passed, start a fresh call at the next eligible commercial break.

Step 4

End at the announced wall-clock finish time. If that time arrives during live action, keep the score frozen and do not reopen the path.

How the result works

Each exact spoken match earns 1 point; misses, skips, late calls, and void rounds earn 0. Keep the tally aloud and never backfill a missed break.

Example: Six players choose the 5-minute path and announce a 7:35 finish from the room clock. Two match the first break, live action returns, and a second break begins before 7:35; the score freezes exactly at 7:35.
