House Churches, Holy Greeting, Warning, Grace, and Love Close the Letter
The letter ends with household greetings, a severe line, and love for all.
The churches of Asia send greetings. Aquila and Prisca, together with the church in their house, greet them warmly in the Lord. All the brothers and sisters send greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss. Paul writes this greeting with his own hand. If anyone has no love for the Lord, let them be accursed. Our Lord, come! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. My love be with all of you in Christ Jesus.
House-church names keep the closing concrete: this is a web of households, not a slogan. The holy kiss is a culturally formed sign of family; it does not override consent, hygiene, trauma, or the need for other greetings where touch is unwise. The curse and Our Lord, come hold warning and hope together. Grace and Paul's love for all in Christ refuse to let the letter's many rebukes become a final rejection of the whole church.
How this should shape us
Stay tied to other households in the Lord. Greet in ways that are holy and actually safe. Let longing for the Lord's coming sit beside grace, and do not use a closing warning to unlove the people this letter still calls beloved.
