1 Thessalonians 5:12-15
Recognize Laboring Leaders and Give Differentiated, Patient, Non-Retaliatory Care
Honor labor, tell the difference among needs, and repay no evil.
They are to know them which labour among them, and are over them in the Lord, and admonish them, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake, and be at peace among themselves. Leadership is identified by labor, care, and admonition, not by title alone. Esteem is not immunity from review, and it is not a requirement to stay under abuse.
Warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all. See that none render evil for evil unto any, but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all. Feebleminded here means fainthearted, not an insult to intelligence. Discouragement is not rebellion; weakness is not a project without agency. Non-retaliation does not forbid reporting crime or protecting people. Patience and pursued good extend to everyone.

Publish what leaders actually do and how they are reviewed. Train care so misconduct, discouragement, weakness, and danger are not handled with one blunt tool. Keep reporting routes and safety intact.
