Prayer, an Inclusive Greeting, Public Reading, and Grace Close the Letter
Read this to everyone, and close under grace.
Brethren, pray for us. Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss. I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. Apostolic senders ask for prayer; they do not stand above need. All, repeated, resists a private letter for insiders.
The holy kiss is an ancient family greeting; its modern form must honor consent, culture, health, and trauma. Unwanted touch is not obedience. Public reading is access, not a leader's right to silence questions. Grace is the last word over a letter that has warned, comforted, and commanded.
How this should shape us
Make the teaching available to everyone in accessible forms. Invite prayer without making people responsible for a leader's failures. Offer no-contact greetings without penalty. Keep accountability inside grace, not instead of it.
