Acts 21:1–21:6

The journey continues through warning and prayer

Tyre speaks through the Spirit, then prays on the shore with children present

The team sails by Cos, Rhodes, and Patara, finds a Phoenician ship, and lands at Tyre to unload cargo. They find disciples and stay seven days. These tell Paul through the Spirit not to go up to Jerusalem. When the days are complete, the whole community, including wives and children, escorts them outside the city. They kneel on the beach, pray, and part.

The Spirit-linked warning and Paul's continued journey sit together without an easy contradiction. Prediction, prohibition, and resolved vocation are all on the beach. Families present at prayer show that the cost is communal, not only apostolic.

How this should shape us

Listen seriously when a community warns you. Pray together through disagreement. Do not treat a Spirit-informed concern as disposable, and do not claim it automatically cancels another person's resolved work.
