Prison doors open and testimony resumes
The high priestly party jails the apostles, and an angel sends them back to the temple
The high priest and all that are with him, the sect of the Sadducees, rise, filled with indignation, and put the apostles in the common prison. An angel of the Lord by night opens the prison doors, brings them out, and says, 'Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.' At daybreak they enter the temple and teach.
The high priest and those with him call the council and all the senate of the children of Israel and send to the prison to have them brought. Officers do not find them; they return and report the prison shut with all safety, the keepers standing outside before the doors, and no one inside. The priest, captain, and chief priests doubt what this will become. Then someone arrives saying the men are standing in the temple teaching the people. The captain with the officers brings them without violence, for they fear the people, lest they should be stoned. The narrative presents angelic deliverance while preserving guards, locks, and official confusion. It gives no reproducible escape technique.
Deliverance sends them back to speech, not into hiding
Open doors are for proclamation in the temple, not for a disappearing act. Officials still have to face a public they cannot easily punish. The story is not a manual for evading just process, and it is not proof that every locked door will open.
How this should shape us
If God opens a way, use it to tell the truth rather than to vanish. Do not copy prison miracles as a method, and do not confuse this deliverance with a right to treat every authority as an enemy.
