Named coworkers, neighboring churches, and grace close the letter.
Tychicus, a beloved brother, faithful minister, and fellow servant, will tell them Paul's news and encourage their hearts. Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother who is one of them, comes with him. Aristarchus, Mark the cousin of Barnabas, and Jesus called Justus send greetings — Jewish coworkers who have been a comfort. That line honors them; it does not sneer. Epaphras struggles for them in prayer that they may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God, and he has worked hard for Colossae, Laodicea, and Hierapolis.
Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet them. They are to greet the brothers in Laodicea, Nympha, and the church in her house, read this letter there, and read the one from Laodicea. Archippus is charged to fulfill the ministry he received in the Lord. Paul writes the greeting with his own hand: remember my chains. Grace be with you. After fullness, household orders, and named friends, the last word is still undeserved favor for the whole church.
