Ephesians 1:15–23
Prayer to Know God's Hope and Power
The church needs eyes to see what it already has in the risen Christ.
Paul thanks God for their faith and love, then prays that they would know hope, inheritance, and power. Christ is raised, seated, and given as head over all things for the church, which is his body.
Ask for sight, not for a smaller gospel. Let this prayer check both fear and any urge to run the church like a private empire.
