Ezekiel 33:7–9
Ezekiel's Watchman Commission Is Renewed

O son of man, the LORD has set Ezekiel a watchman unto the house of Israel. Therefore he shall hear the word at the LORD's mouth and warn them from him. The civic analogy is reapplied to a dated prophetic commission after the long Egypt sequence and before the city's fall is reported.
When the LORD says unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die, if Ezekiel does not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will the LORD require at Ezekiel's hand.
He must speak; he cannot make them turn
If he warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity, but Ezekiel has delivered his soul.
The office does not transfer automatically to pastors, influencers, politicians, or private citizens. Hearer agency remains. Faithful warning is the duty named here, not control of another adult's choice.

If a word has actually been entrusted to you, say it without theatrical blood-language and without owning the outcome. Do not baptize a platform as Ezekiel's watch, and do not confuse silence with innocence when you did see the sword.
