Ezekiel 47:1–5
Water Flows from the Temple and Deepens beyond Crossing
Waters issued out from under the threshold eastward
Afterward he brings Ezekiel again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
Then he brings him out of the way of the gate northward, and leads him about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
A thousand cubits, then waters to swim in
When the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought Ezekiel through the waters; the waters were to the ankles. Again he measured a thousand, and brought him through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought him through; the waters were to the loins.
Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that Ezekiel could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over. Life from the sanctuary deepens beyond the guide's wading. The river is not a hidden modern water project, and it does not promise that faith prevents drowning or disaster. Uncrossable is the point: presence becomes more than a channel you manage.

Follow water that starts under a holy threshold and outgrows your ankles. Do not map a canal scheme onto this line, and do not tell a drowning world that belief keeps the river at the knees.
