Read verses 5–8 together. Verse 5 establishes the dream and increased hatred, verse 6 introduces Joseph's speech, verse 7 gives the imagery, and verse 8 records the brothers' ruling interpretation. Verse 6 alone does not show whether Joseph speaks proudly, naively, obediently, or for another reason.
