- Pharaoh and his servants approve Joseph's counsel, recognize his divine enablement and wisdom, and appoint him over Pharaoh's house and Egypt, with Pharaoh retaining the throne (41:37–41).
- Pharaoh publicly invests Joseph with signet ring, fine linen, gold chain, second chariot, acclamation, broad authority, an Egyptian name, and marriage to Asenath daughter of the priest of On (41:42–45).
- At age thirty Joseph travels throughout Egypt, gathers the extraordinary produce into local cities, and stores grain until it can no longer be numbered (41:46–49).
- Before the famine, Asenath bears Joseph Manasseh and Ephraim; Joseph explains their names through God's relief amid toil and fruitfulness in affliction (41:50–52).
