Read verses 3–4 and 12–13. Joseph has repeated his identity, invited them near, and now commissions eyewitnesses to report his Egyptian status and bring Jacob; the observation supports the message rather than functioning as a modern biometric proof.

The verse contributes eyewitness assurance and does not independently explain why Benjamin is named, what language Joseph spoke, or every feature by which the brothers recognized him.
