Numbers 17:6–9
Aaron's Staff Buds, Blossoms, and Bears Almonds
Overnight, Aaron's staff has buds, blossoms, and ripe almonds
Moses speaks to the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gives him a rod apiece, twelve rods, and Aaron's rod is among them. Moses lays them up before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.
On the morrow Moses goes into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi has budded, brought forth buds, bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds. Moses brings out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel, and they look, and take every man his rod.
The inspection is for every prince, not a private vision
Bud, blossom, and fruit on one staff is the narrative's piled sign of life from a dead stick. Every leader gets his own staff back to see. Evidence that cannot be looked at by the other eleven would not match this scene.
The story does not prove a present miracle claim, validate hereditary leadership in every later office, or excuse unrepeatable private proofs. Almonds here choose Aaron's house in this book. They do not elect your board.
How this should shape us
Prefer signs other people can look at with you. Do not treat a unique overnight wonder in Torah as a template for proving your job is forever, and do not hide the test in a room only you enter.
