Gershonites Carry Curtains and Coverings
Gershon's men are numbered for named fabric burdens
The sons of Gershon also are taken from thirty to fifty, all that enter to do the work. Their service is to carry the curtains of the tabernacle, the tent of the congregation, its covering, the badgers' skins covering above, the door hanging, court hangings, court-gate hanging, cords, and all the instruments of their service.
By the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron they receive their charge. The fabrics that make a holy place visible and enclosed are listed item by item so the work cannot be treated as whoever-happens-to-grab-a-curtain.
Support work is assigned, which means it can be exploited if leaders refuse limits
Hereditary carrying is still work with weight, weather, and repetition. Naming the burden is supposed to make it accountable. It is not a reason to lock a family into a job forever, to make the labor invisible, or to extract it without rest.
Ithamar's oversight is part of the safeguard: someone in the priestly house is responsible for this clan's service. Oversight that only collects labor and never names strain has left the passage.

Write down who carries the unglamorous pieces, credit them by name, and review the load. Do not treat inherited support work as destiny, and do not let a holy project run on unnamed exhaustion.
