Revelation 22:6-11
The True Prophecy Must Remain Unsealed and Kept
The sayings are true, near, and not to be sealed
The angel says, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. Nearness and quickly have force for the first hearers. Their reach to a last consummation is debated. Neither word provides a modern date.
John has seen and heard, and he falls down to worship before the feet of the angel. The angel again refuses: See thou do it not, for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. The book repeats the correction because the temptation repeats.
Leave the prophecy open; let the urgent saying reveal character
He says, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. Unlike Daniel's sealed vision, this disclosure is for keeping now. Unsealed does not mean a private key for insiders.
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. The line is an urgent revealing of what people already are as the time presses, not a command to persist in injustice or to abandon wrongdoers without the book's many calls to turn.
How this should shape us
Keep what is written rather than dating how quickly. Worship God instead of gifted speakers, and let urgency make you more just, not more certain you have a calendar.

Best judgment: 'Quickly' and 'near' retain force for original hearers while their consummative reach is debated. Verse 11 can sound like permission to persist, but functions as an urgent character-revealing warning rather than moral indifference.
