Scoring

How the result works

A successful knock scores the deadwood difference. Gin scores 25 plus the opponent's deadwood; an undercut scores 25 plus the deadwood difference.

Example: A player knocks with 8 deadwood, the opponent has 14, and the knocker scores 6.

Host tip

Keep it clean

Changing the knock threshold or bonuses mid-match. Use 10 deadwood or less and the stated 25-point gin and undercut bonuses.

Safety: Use short rounds, visible scoring, clear turns, and the tie rule everyone agreed on.
