The Missionary Team Greets a Church in God and the Lord Jesus
Grace and peace arrive before any command.
Paul, Silvanus, and Timotheus write as a team to the Thessalonian assembly in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, and they greet that whole church with grace and peace. The letter will remember ministry, name grief, and give charges, but it first locates people under gift rather than under a score.
Church here is a gathered people, not a building or a later denomination. The three names do not settle who drafted every line; they do settle that this is not a celebrity solo. Identity in the Father and the Lord Jesus is already true before any work is praised.
How this should shape us
Name who is speaking, who is being addressed, and the grace that holds both before you correct anyone. Do not hide a team behind one voice, and do not treat a greeting as a census of every later institution.
