Ascetic Prohibitions Deny the Goodness of God's Gifts
Holiness does not forbid the gifts God made to be received
The Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, attending to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared. The concrete marks are not a conspiracy map. These teachers forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. Later times already press on Timothy's work. They do not hand us a date.
Everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer. Imposed prohibition is the problem, not voluntary singleness, a chosen fast, a medical diet, or Jewish food practice. Creation's goodness does not require marriage, unsafe food, or ignoring exploitation in how food is produced. The warning does not license calling opponents demon-possessed.
How this should shape us
Refuse spiritual pressure that treats marriage or a meal as contamination. Keep fasting and singleness free rather than compulsory, honor medical limits, and receive ordinary gifts with thanks instead of ranking people by what they skip.
