Ephesians 4:17–24
Put Off the Old Life and Put On the New
Learning Christ means putting off a corrupt old humanity and putting on a new one.
Do not walk any longer as those whose understanding is darkened and whose hearts are hardened. Put off the old self, be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new self, created after God in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
This is not self-reinvention by grit. It is a break with the old pattern because you learned Christ. Ask where the old self still sets the default.
