Ezekiel 41:12–15
The Western Building and Overall Temple Length Are Measured
The separate building toward the west
The building that is before the separate place at the end toward the west is seventy cubits broad; the wall of the building is five cubits thick round about, and the length thereof ninety cubits.
He measures the house, an hundred cubits long; the separate place, and the building, with the walls thereof, an hundred cubits long. Also the breadth of the face of the house, and of the separate place toward the east, an hundred cubits.
A hundred cubits, named again
He measures the length of the building over against the separate place which is behind it, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundred cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court.
West building, house, yard, and galleries keep returning to a hundred cubits. Repeated numbers in a vision are order, not numerology, and not certainty about an unpreserved physical model. Something large and square sits west of the house, distinct from it.
How this should shape us
Keep the western building distinct from the house. Let a hundred cubits be a measured span, not a lucky number. Do not claim you have the lost model because the same figure recurs.
