Ezra blesses God and gathers leaders
Blessing before the packing list
Ezra's own voice breaks in: blessed be the Lord, the God of our fathers, who put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, and who extended lovingkindness before the king, his counselors, and princes. The first response to a dangerous commission is doxology, not strategy.
Strengthened hands gather chiefs
Ezra takes courage because the hand of the Lord is on him, and he gathers chiefs from Israel to go up with him. Leadership here is contagious confidence under mercy, not a solo heroic trek. The scribe who can read a royal letter still needs named companions before the road.

When a door opens in a powerful room, thank God first, then look for people. Courage that will not gather others is only private adrenaline. Beautifying a house of God is a reason to bless, not a reason to become the king's man in your own heart.
